Tower Automotive is a manufacturer of automobile frames based in Novi, Michigan. The company is currently the world's largest manufacturer of vehicle frames, supplying the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. It had produced the Ford Explorer frame through 2005, though the company declined to bid on the redesigned 2006 Ford Explorer. The company filed for bankruptcy protection in 2005.
