Tržič (German: Neumarktl) is a town and municipality in northern Slovenia. As of 2002 it has a population of 15,151 inhabitants.
Tržič was one of the first places in Europe to require metal shutters and doors after the town was heavily damaged by a fire in 1811. Much of the town's architecture was constructed in the Classicist style.
The leather industry is important to the economy of Tržič. Because of its alpine setting, alpine skiing is popular in the surrounding area. The Croatian writer Miroslav Krleža has a posthumously published work called Zapisi iz Tržiča ("Notes from Tržič").
