Trans States Airlines is a regional airline based in St. Louis, Missouri. It operates as American Connection for American Airlines, United Express for United Airlines, and US Airways Express for US Airways. Its IATA designator is AX and its ICAO designator is LOF and its call-sign is "WATERSKI." It operates a fleet of 11 Embraer145EP jets, 39 Embraer145LR jets. Many of the E145 jets operating as United Express are the only E145's in America operating without thrust reversers in an effort to save weight and money. It also operates a fleet of Jetstream 41 turboprop aircraft for American Connection. Its GoJets division operates the 66 seat Canadair 700. Owned, operated, and housed at TransStates corporate headquarters, TransStates (TSA) officially denies any knowledge or ties to GoJets as far as its employees are concerned.

The company was founded in 1985 to feed Trans World Airlines flights at Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport.
