Transmitter Berlin-Koepenick

Encyclopedia : T : TR : TRA : Transmitter Berlin-Koepenick

The transmitter Berlin-Koepenick was a transmission facility for medium wave and FM in Berlin-Koepenick. This transmitter used several aerials: one 248 metre high guyed steel tube mast, which was insulated against ground, a reflector mast of similar height and several triangle area aerials. The reflector mast was demounted in 1988 and rebuilt on the site of transmitter Wachenbrunn. The triangle area aerials were demounted at the end of the ninties. The facility was shutdown at 2001. The FM transmission which are performed from this facility are now done by the TV-Tower Berlin and the medium wave transmissions by the new radio mast at the transmitter Zehlendorf. The remaining 248 metre high radio mast was knocked down in December 2002.
