Transmitter Ehndorf

The transmitter Ehndorf is a medium wave transmission facility for the propagation of the program of "Deutschlandfunk" on 1269 kHz, which was etablished in 1966. The power used for this transmitter is 300 kilowatts (until Mid 90ies 600 kW). It uses as aerial a directional aerial consisting of two 65 metre high guyed steel framework masts, which are insulated against ground. The transmitter Ehndorf is often called incorrectly "Sender Neumünster".
