Transmitter Golm

The Transmitter Golm was a mediumwave broadcasting facility near Golm, Potsdam, Germany. It was established in 1948 and used originally a 100 metre high free standing lattice tower of wood as transmission tower. This tower was latter replaced by two 51 metre high guyed steel masts carrying a T-antenna. On October 25 1979, the wood tower was demolished because building unsafe. In 1993 the transmitter Golm was shut down.
