Treaty of Rastatt

The Treaty of Rastatt, in March 7, 1714, was essentially part of the Treaty of Utrecht. In 1713 and 1714, this treaty was negotiated by Marshal General of France, Claude Louis Hector de Villars and Austrian prince, Prince Eugene of Savoy. Along with the Treaty of Utrecht, it resolved the War of Spanish Succession (1701-1714). This treaty, in particular, ended hostilities between Louis XIV and the Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI, which had continued after the rest of the war was resolved.
