Treejumping
Encyclopedia : T : TR : TRE : Treejumping
Treejumping is a form of military parachuting, in which paratroops are dropped into a forest or jungle – generally, from a relatively low altitude. While civilians could treejump, it is highly unadvisable since it is generally considered to be a particularly dangerous form of parachuting. Treejumping is also especially damaging to the parachuting equipment.
Smokejumpers train and equip themselves for tree landings.
