Trnové

Small village in the north-western Slovakia, approximately 5 kilometres from Žilina.Nice environment offers great view to the Mala Fatra mountains, it is also a nice entrance point to these mountains. In Trnove you can find especially gothic roman - catholic castle of Saint George built in the 15.century. Trnove is mentioned first in 1393, now it has approx.3500 inhabitants. Nowadays, Trnove is a part of Žilina, it´s easy to get there by bus link 24.

Hiking opportunities: Vrutky - approx.4 hrs., Martinske Hole (ski park) - approx.5 hrs.

Sport: Table tennis, football (5th Slovak league), hockeyball.
