Trnovo is one of the nine municipalities of the Sarajevo Canton. It is located a few kilometers south of the city of Sarajevo.

According to government statistics from 2002, it is the least populous of the nine, with a mere 839 people. It is also the least densely populated of the nine Municipalities and has the highest percentage of people over 65 years of age. Ethnically, 95.4% are Bosniaks and 4.6% are Serbs with no reported Croats and others. The seat of the municipality is in Dejčići. The actual town of Trnovo is in the Republika Srpska.

Not to be confused with Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
