Tsuchimochi Chikanari

Tsuchimochi Chikanari (????-1578) a daimyo of Hyuga, and holder of the Matsuo Castle. Chikanari later accepted the authority of Ito Yoshisuke. Following the year of 1578, Chikanari sided with the invading army of the Shimazu clan. However, Chikanari was besieged by the Otomo in their campaign to subdue Hyuga that same year. However, due to the Shimazu not arriving in time, Chikanari killed himself, effectively attaining much land to the retainers of the Otomo.
