-->The Tsuu T'ina Nation (also Sarcee, Sarsi, Tsu T’ina) is a First Nation in Canada. Their territory is located on the Indian reserve Tsuu T'ina Nation 145, whose east side is adjacent to the southwest city limits of Calgary, Alberta. The Tsuu T'ina people have formerly been called the Sarsi or Sarcee, words which are believed to have been derived from a Blackfoot word meaning boldness and hardiness. The proximity of the territory to the city of Calgary has led to disagreement over the city's plans to construct the western leg of a ring road, which by necessity (and in order to avoid environmentally sensitive areas) has to pass through Tsuu T'ina land. As of the end of 2005, a firm agreement has yet to be reached on the project. Similarly, plans by the Tsuu T'ina to construct a casino just outside city limits (on land once located within the city but ceded back to the nation in the 1990s) has also sparked concern from Calgary residents worried about increased traffic.
