Tuft's Cove is a community on the eastern shore of Halifax Harbour in North Dartmouth, Nova Scotia near the harbour narrows which borders on Albro Lake Road in the south to Nova Scotia Highway 111 in the North and Victoria Road Extension in the east.

In Tuft's Cove is a power station which belongs to Nova Scotia Power .It is one of the main plants in Nova Scotia and primarily serves the Halifax Regional Municipality. It features three 157 metre tall smokestacks. The plant was built in 1965 to provide more power for the then separate cities of Halifax and Dartmouth. Tuft's Cove is rated to produce up to 350MW of electricity.

The community of Tuft's Cove was partly destroyed to build the plant, and surrounding communities were abandoned in later years due to a rise in pollution. In the 1990s the owners of the plant, Nova Scotia Power, funded a $32 million project to install filters on the smokestacks to limit this pollution. In 2000, NSP's Tufts Cove plant was re-fitted to burn either oil or natural gas. Since then, two other natural gas-fired additions have been made to Tufts Cove. In 2005 a 47.3 MW simple cycle combustion turbine plant was installed.
