Tuggerah (probably from Awabakal takara, "cold") is a town on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, situated on the Main North Line and Sydney-Newcastle Freeway about 90 km north of Sydney. Immediately south of Wyong, the town is a major industrial and commercial area of the Central Coast, and has a large regional shopping centre known as Westfield Tuggerah and a large homemakers centre.
