Tupolev Tu-80

The Tupolev Tu-80 was a modernized version of the Tupolev Tu-4 bomber with improvements on aerodynamics such as increased wing area, aircraft systems, weapon and equipment. The work done allowed to increase designed flight range in comparison with that of Tu-4 by 20-25%. Its first flight was on 1 December 1949. However it was still not up to expectations and hence not produced.
