Turkey Hill Minit Markets' headquarters is located in Manor Township, located nearby the Susquehanna River. The area was first inhabited by a group of Native Americans called the Susquehannocks, who named the area "Turkey Hill" because it was an abundant hunting ground, particularly for turkeys. In 1985, Turkey Hill was purchased by Dillons, a subsidiary of Kroger.
Most of the stores are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The stores usually feature an ATM Machine, drink, snack food, coffee, cigarettes, and other small items. In 1999, new larger stores were opened with more of an emphasis on selling gasoline.
