Type 094 submarine

The Type 094 is a designation given (it is also referred to by the NATO reporting name Jin-class) to a new class of SSBN being developed by the People's Liberation Army Navy.
Construction of the first submarine began in 1999 and it was launched from the Huludao Shipyards in 2004.
This submarine is capable of carrying 16 of the more modern JL-2s with a range of approximately 8000 km, and is capable of targeting much of the United States, some of it from close to the Chinese coast.
