Type XI U-boat

The type XI U-Boat was a unlaunched submarine gun cruiser starting with U-112 to about U-117 there is no confirmed record of their launch. An intresting postscript to the story is that a unidentified sub with very lage guns was found off the Massachuttes coast the sub is now known as CA-35 after the Kreigmarine Grid it was found in. There have been many suspecions that U-112 was launched, and did go on a clandestine mission.
