Tyr Sports, Inc. is a manufacturer of competitive swimwear and goggles, founded in 1985 and based in California. Contrary to popular belief, its name is not an acronym. Rather, the company is named after the Tyr (pronounced tier) from Norse mythology. The company makes products for swimming, diving, and water polo.

Olympian Hans Fassnacht is an executive with the company.

Tyr's brand of hi-technology fabric swimwear is the Aqua Shift, which it claims will reduce drag.
