Brief history
The United States Ship John F. Kennedy (CV-67), is the last active diesel aircraft carrier in the United States Navy. There has been and will be no other carrier like the John F. Kennedy, as the Navy created a single ship class, just for her. The ship is named after President John F. Kennedy, who was assasinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22nd, 1963. The ship was originally launched in 1967 and was christined by Caroline Kennedy, the first daughter of the slain President for which the ship was named.
