U.S. Route 260

U.S. Highway 260, now decommissioned, was a spur of U.S. Highway 60. It was not one of the original U.S. highways. U.S. 260 was established in 1931 and ran between Springerville, Arizona and Holbrook, Arizona, when U.S. Highway 70 was rerouted; U.S. 260 was the western end of U.S. 70. In 1935, U.S. 260 was extended eastward to junction U.S. Highway 80 near Deming, New Mexico. In 1962, this entire route became part of the western extension of U.S. Highway 180.
