U.S. Route 322

U.S. Route 322 is a U.S. Route that runs for 494 miles (790 km) from Atlantic City, New Jersey to Cleveland, Ohio at U.S. Highway 6. It passes through the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. It goes through the cities of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and State College, Pennsylvania.

In New Jersey, between Atlantic City and Mays Landing it is concurrent with U.S. Highway 40 and comprises a portion of the "Black Horse Pike". In Glassboro, it bisects Rowan University. However, an ongoing construction project, slated for completion in mid- to late-2007, is expected to re-route the highway to the northern side of the campus. It enters Pennsylvania via the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Back in the 1960's and 1970's the NJDOT had planned for a freeway bypass of U.S. Route 322 around Glassboro. Later it was planned as a NJ Turnpike extension, but all together plans were dropped when budget cuts and opposition became too much.

In Pennsylvania, it is also signed as "The 28th Division Highway", in honor of the 28th Infantry Division.
