U.S. Route 421

U.S. Highway 421 is a spur of U.S. Highway 21. It runs for 941 miles (1,514 km) from Michigan City, Indiana at U.S. Highway 20 to Fort Fisher, North Carolina. It passes through the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. It goes through the cities of Indianapolis, Indiana; Frankfort, Kentucky; Lexington, Kentucky; Harlan, Kentucky; Bristol, Tennessee; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Greensboro, North Carolina; and Wilmington, North Carolina.
