U.S. Route 9E

U.S. Route 9E was a short-lived number for current U.S. Route 9 from New York City north to Glens Falls, New York on the east side of the Hudson River. The route on the other side - U.S. Route 9W - still has that number.

The original 1925 plan numbered the route U.S. Route 109, but it was renumbered in the final (late 1926) plan. Thus there has never been a US 109 despite the existence of a U.S. Route 209.
