USS San Diego

Four ships of the United States Navy have been named USS San Diego, after the city of San Diego, California.
- The first San Diego was originally the armored cruiser California (ACR-6).
- The second, San Diego (CL-53), was a light cruiser commissioned in 1942 in service throughout the Pacific War, and decommissioned 1946.
- The fourth, San Diego (LPD-22), will be a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock. As of 2005 it will be launched in 2007.
