Udalguri is a town and a town area committee in Darrang district in the Indian state of Assam.

Geography

Udalguri is located at [26.77° N 92.13° E][Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Udalguri]. It has an average elevation of 180 metres (590 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Udalguri had a population of 14,893. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Udalguri has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 67%. In Udalguri, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
