Uguccione della Faggiuola (c. 1250 - November 1, 1319, Vicenza) was an Italian condottiero, and chief magistrate of Pisa, Lucca and Forlì (from 1297).
Biography
Uguccione was born in the Marche.Of Ghibelline association, he was a lieutenant of Henry VII, who came to Pisa in 1312. After the latter's death in 1313, Uguccione was voted chief magistrate (podesta) of the city.
He conquered Lucca in 1314, but the citizens drove him out again two years later and made Castruccio Castracani acting tyrant of the city.
In 1315, he beat the forces of Florence and their associates from Naples near Montecatini.
He died in 1319.
