Umuogi

Umuogi is a village in a town called Umuekwune in Ngor Okpala local government in Imo state, Nigeria. It is inhabited by around 1500 people. The indigenous language is Igbo. Most of its people are farmers since it is located in the middle of the rain forest. It is considered "third world" and many of the locals are optimistic that charity work in and around the village will help them get out of poverty. It is the first village of the Okpala Umuekwune autonomous community, with Eze Hyginus Ajoku as the traditional ruler.
