Encyclopedia : U : UN : UNB : Unbirthday
An Unbirthday is described as an event that is typically celebrated on any of the 364 days on which it is not the person's birthday. It is a term coined in Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. It was also the subject of "The Unbirthday Song" in the 1951 Disney animated film Alice in Wonderland.
The lyrics of the song state:
- Now statistics prove,
- Prove that you've one birthday,
- Imagine just one birthday every year.
- Ah, but there are 364 unbirthdays.
- Precisely why we're gathered here to cheer.
