University Mall, previously University Square Mall, is the second enclosed shopping mall in Hillsborough County, Florida built that is still in operation. It is located near the University of South Florida, just north of the city limits of Tampa on Fowler Avenue. It is also accessible from Busch Gardens and the Museum of Science and Industry.
The mall is anchored by Sears, Macy's, Dillard's, Burlington Coat Factory, and Steve & Barry's University Sportswear. Other retailers within the shopping center include Foot Locker, Waldenbooks, Sam Goody, Hot Topic, Spencer Gifts, The Disney Store, Suncoast Motion Picture Company, Lane Bryant, GNC, and much more. The mall also has a food court and a Regal Cinemas theater.
Longtime anchor JCPenney closed effective October 1, 2005, as a smaller prototype store opened in nearby Wesley Chapel.
University Mall's tenant space is owned and managed by Glimcher Properties.
