University of Bordeaux

The University of Bordeaux is an organisation consisting of four autonomous universities:

Université Bordeaux 1 [link] - natural science
Université Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2 [link] - medicine and life sciences
Université Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux 3 [link] - the liberal arts
Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV [link] - political science and law

Bordeaux 2 is located in the city centre, while the other three were relocated in the 1960s to Domaine Universitaire, a vast campus located in the communes of Talence, Pessac and Gradignan. Among the most well-known institutions are:

Institut d'études politiques de Bordeaux [link] (Political Studies Institute, commonly known as "Sciences Po"), an elite school for future policy-makers,
Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature (National School of Magistrature) [link],
Law School of the University Bordeaux IV [link], often described as the best of the country, and certainly one of the best,
Bordeaux Ecole de Management (Bordeaux Business School) [link], one of the best of its kind
École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers
Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique (LaBRI) [link], a computer science research center
