Upperclassmen

An upperclassmen, in standard four year American high schools and colleges, is either a junior or a senior. Rarely, a sophomore can be considered an upperclassmen as well, usually in a school with more than four grades.

Upperclassmen often enjoy perks as they have attended the school longer. The are often pushed to be leaders amongst their peers, as their age and longer time of study help to make them good role models for the incoming underclassmen.
