Urals Federal District

Urals Federal District (Russian: Ура́льский федера́льный о́круг; tr.: Uralsky federalny okrug) is one of the seven federal districts of Russia. It is the westernmost of the three Asian districts. Its population was 12,373,926 in the 2002 census, covering an area of 1,788,900 km² (690,698.2 mi²). Petr Latyshev is the current Presidential Envoy to Urals Federal District.
