Urbano Tavares Rodrigues (1923 - ) is a Portuguese literary critic and fiction writer. Urbano Tavares Rodrigues was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1923. He did, however, spent his childhood near Moura, in Alentejo, a southern region of the country. He has links to the Portuguese Communist Party since his youth. He has also been awarded with several literary prizes.
