Utsunomiya Kunitsuna

(1568-1607) was a warlord of the Japanese region of Shimotsuke during the Sengoku Period of the 16th century. Kunitsuna was the eldest son of Utsunomiya Hirotsuna. When the latter attacked the Hojo domain in 1590, Kunistuna submitted to the Hojo, but then later followed in submission to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He was then deprived of his domain following the year of 1597, and was unable to regain it until the death of the latter in 1598.
