Västra skogen (meaning "The Western Forest") is a Stockholm subway station in Huvudsta, Solna Municipality. The station was opened August 31 1975. It features the longest escalator in the Stockholm metro system, 66 meters. This part of Huvudsta was earlier called Ingentingskogen ("The Nothing Forest") after a small farm called Ingenting and the name Ingenting ("Nothing") was suggested as a name for the new station, but rejected. Instead a new name was created.
