Völklingen

Völklingen is a town and a municipality in the district of Saarbrücken, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated near the border with France, on the river Saar, approx. 10 km west of Saarbrücken.
The town is known for its industrial past, with its facilities and ironworks being collectively declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
