V.K. Choudhry is a well known Indian astrologer and author. His major contribution is to have developed the "Systems' Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes" - Vedic astrology, which he has written about in many books and articles since the early 1990s. Among his ten books the best known are Systems´ Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes, How to Identify Significant Events and Self Learning Course in Astrology.
Biography
V.K. Choudhry was born in Gurgaon, India on September 13, 1951. He holds an MBA degree. He is Founder Chairman of the International Institute for Predictive Astrology (IIPA) in Fairfield, IA, USA. He has been a faculty member and Chapter Course Director of Astrology with Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS). V.K. Choudhry participated in the 10th International Seminar of Astrology and Occult Science (ISAOS) from 11th to 13th June, 1995, at Hyderabad and delivered lectures on "Timing of Events" and "Vastu Shastru". He has participated in astrological conferences in India, UK, France and USA.Professional career
Formerly a Chief Marketing Manager in a public enterprise, V.K. Choudhry has in recent years devoted his time to providing astrological services to individuals around the world. He is well known for his insightful horoscope interpretation, prescient advise, accurate predictions, astrological (faith healing) remedies and for selecting auspicious moments for new undertakings.Systems´ Approach
Due to the many confusing inconsistencies in the classical texts, V.K. Choudhry has developed the Systems' Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes (SA) to bring out the salient factors in horoscope analysis. His systematic approach has enabled students and practitioners of astrology to easily comprehend the key factors for accurate horoscope interpretation and prediction. SA is growing in popularity internationally due to its clear and simple rules and reliable results. The philosophical basis for his astrological work is to some extent the Ramayana.Controversy
As with most new ideas that challenge traditional approaches, there has been a modicum of controversy about SA among orthodox vedic astrologers. Over time SA has become increasingly accepted as a new branch of vedic astrology with better efficacy and accuracy.Awards

- recipient of Pracharya Award as Professor of Astrology conferred by Bharat Nirman in 1993, for his "outstanding and excellent contributions in the field of astrology".
- listed in "Indo American Who's Who" in 1994, "in recognition of his contribution for predictive accuracy in Hindu Astrology".
- awarded the title of Master of Astrology by ISAOS in 1995.
- conferred the degree of Doctor of Alternative Medical Sciences by the Board of Directors of International Council of Alternative Medicines in 1996 in Mumbay.
- awarded a Gold Medal and the honorary title of Jyotish Vachaspathi by the International Institute of Astrology and Occultism (IIAO), in 1996 in New Delhi.
- conferred the title of Dharam Yogi by the International Foundation of Peace, Fraternity and Humanistics (IFPFH), in 1995 in Mumbay.
- conferred the title of Vastu Shastra Samrat by ICAS in 1996.
- received the title of Sthapatya Ratna by Bhartiya Ved Jyotish Vigyan Sansthan in 1996 in Modinagar for "his valuable contributions in the fields of Astrology and Vastu Shastra".
