Encyclopedia : V : V2 : V2V : V2: Vertical Velocity

V2: Vertical Velocity is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo, California.

The coaster’s track is essentially a large U shape that is loaded at the base and uses a series of LIMs to accelerate the train up each side of the track. One side of the track is a straight tower angled out at forty five degrees, the other side is a twisted spiral perfectly vertical. Seating on the one train holding twenty eight riders is a standard overhead suspended design.

In 2002 the ride was temporarily closed while the track was modified from a height of 186 feet to the city ordnance limit of 150 feet.
