Viasat is a DBS distributor and TV broadcaster, owned by the Swedish media conglomerate Modern Times Group. Broadcasting from London, the target markets are in the Nordic countries and the Baltic states. Their broadcasts can be received from the [Sirius 2/3] satellites at 5°E with any DVB receiver equipped with a NDS descrambling module. Viasat’s main competitor on DTH distribution in the Nordic countries is Canal Digital which by far has the larger market share.
