-->Vidya Shilp Academy is a private day school in Bangalore, India.
It is situated on the Bellary Road, along with other upscale schools such as Mallya Aditi International School, The Canadian School and Vidya Shilp's sister school Vidya Niketan. The Academy was started at the end of the 1990s. The school was initially very popular due to its beautiful campus, large grounds and the reputedly "five-star" quality of its eduation. The school is built on an 18 acre (73,000 m²) campus having approximately over 1,00,000 square feet (9,000 m²) of built up area for classes, lab, library, auditorium and dining hall. Each class is spaciously laid out to accommodate 33 children with functionally designed tables and seating arrangement, book racks, computer and audio visual equipment.
The school's sports facilities include a 25 meter swimming pool, volley ball court, basketball court, skating rink, full size cricket, football and hockey fields, and indoor sports facilities are also provided for chess, bridge, yoga, movie and badminton courts. The school follows the ICSE syllabus from grades 1-10, and also offers the IGCSE syllabus for students who wish to take up an International qualification.
The school along with sister concern Vidya Niketan conducts annually donations to orphanages, oldage homes and other charitable institutions on the occasion of Diwali. Student's are encouraged to take up voluntary involvement in such activities. Moreover these develop personal skills and humane feelings towards society.
Admissions to the school are open 2 months prior to the schools opening at the school office.
