As shown in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 Viper is usually red. However, in Six Flags Darien Lake it is green. Viper was the world's first roller coaster ever to turn passengers upside-down five time total. The coasters maximum speed is 50 mph, has two trains and takes about 2 minutes and 13 seconds. The Viper was built by Arrow Huss.

History

In most cases Viper was one of the first roller coasters to be put in Six Flags Parks. Currently, only some remain due to constant breakdowns and decrease in popularity. For example, In 2001 Viper was removed from Six Flags Over Georgia; it was the longest running Viper in the ride's history. Again in 2005, Viper was removed because of constant breakdowns at Six Flags Great Adventure. Through about thirty years of the Vipers running, no accidents have occurred.

Breakdowns

As mentioned earlier, Viper has taken out of two Six Flags parks because of constant breakdowns. Fortunately, no crashes have occurred because of breakdowns.

Wooden version

There is a wooden version of the Viper at Six Flags Great America which opened in 1995. It was manufactured by In House and has a maximum speed of 50 mph.
