WFXP Fox 66 is the Fox television network affiliate serving the Erie, Pennsylvania metropolitan area. Its studio is located inside the WJET-TV studios at 8455 Peach Street in Summit Township, Pa.. WFXP's transmitter is located at 8425 Peach Street, Erie, Pennsylvania.
History
WFXP-TV signed on the air May 15, 1986 as WETG-TV, operated by Gannon University.
Operating agreement
In 1998, WJET-TV's parent company Nexstar Broadcasting entered into an agreement with Mission Broadcasting, Inc. to maintain responsibility for WFXP-TV 66's daily operations. That agreement also includes production of WFXP's 10 'O Clock News.
