Encyclopedia : W : WJ : WJV : WJVS

WJVS (88.3 FM) is a student-run radio station in Cincinnati, Ohio and operated by the Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development, and based at their Sharonville, Ohio school.

WJVS shares its frequency with WAIF, also out of Cincinnati. It operates during the normal school year, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 2:20 pm. The station uses an adult-contemporary format. However, in past years, the station has used rock and roll in many instances. Students from Scarlet Oaks Career Development Campus' Digital TV Production program run, operate, and perform on the station. The normal shift for a WJVS staffer is 45 minutes.

WJVS was the home of one established radio show, The Rob Johnson Show, which featured news, music and commentary from a former Scarlet Oaks CDC student. The show lasted from December 2000 to May of 2002.
