WPPZ-FM, also known as "103.9 Praise FM", is a Philadelphia radio station that features a Gospel Music format. WPPZ was originally WPHI "103.9 The Beat", but on February 25, 2005, Radio One moved "The Beat" to the 100.3 frequency, which was formerly WPLY Y100 Philadelphia, and on February 27, 2005, WPPZ was created as a brand-new station. The station runs entirely jockless throughout the day. WPPZ is owned by Radio One. Its transmitter is located in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.
