WTNZ, "Fox43", is the Fox network affiliate in Knoxville, Tennessee.
History
WTNZ signed on December 31, 1983 as WKCH-TV (nicknamed "Catch 43"), an independent station.In 1986, WKCH-TV affiliated with Fox. In 1994, it changed its call letters to WTNZ.
Because of network musical chairs that occurred in Knoxville over the years, WTNZ has been Knoxville's only Fox affiliate during the network's history. It is also Tennessee's longest-serving Fox affiliate, because in 1990 WZTV became Nashville's Fox affiliate, while WPTY in Memphis traded networks with WHBQ five years later.
