Wadi Al-Hitan

Wadi Al-Hitan (Arabic: , Whale Valley) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Western Desert of Egypt inscribed in 2005. It was selected due to its unique fossil record of the evolution of whales from a land based mammal to a water based one.
