Wanning (Simplified Chinese: }}}; Traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: ) is a county-level city in SE Hainan province, China, with an estimated population of 65,871 (2006).
History
Wanning lies on the east of the island and administers many small towns. It has promoted from a county to a city in August 5, 1996.
Agriculture
The city of Wanning produces coffee, pepper, rubber, rice, banana, sugarcane, and others.
Industry
Tourism plays a vital role in the city. It is famous for its tropical scenery, lies approximately half an hour's drive from the beach, and has five-star hotels.
Climate
Wanning is hot throughout the year. Sometimes it is a little cold in with temperature of 5 to 8 degrees Celsius.
