Warrior is a city in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 3,169.

History

The community was named for the Warrior Coal Fields, which opened in 1872. Its name was originally Warrior Station.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 20.4 km² (7.9 mi²), all land.
