Encyclopedia : W : WA : WAS : Wasatch-Cache National Forest
Wasatch-Cache National Forest is a national forest located in Utah. The name is from the Ute word Wasatch for a low place in high mountains, and the French word Cache meaning to hide. It was originally a term that referred to fur trappers, the first europeans to visit the land. The forest boundaries include over 2 million acres (8000 km²) of land.
